# Create

### **How to Create a Smart Wallet on Moonwell**

#### **1. Navigation**

* Open a web browser and navigate to the Moonwell app: [**moonwell.fi**](https://moonwell.fi/)
* On the Moonwell homepage, click the "**Launch App**" button.

#### **2. Initiating Smart Wallet Creation**

* Within the Moonwell app, locate the "**Try the new Smart Wallet**" card and click the "**Create Wallet**" button.

OR

* Locate and click the "**Connect Wallet**" button in the top right corner of the Moonwell application. A "**Connect**" modal will appear, displaying a list of supported wallet options.
* Select Coinbase Wallet from the list.&#x20;

#### **3. Smart Wallet Setup**

* Upon clicking "**Create Wallet**" from the Getting Started card or selecting "**Coinbase Wallet**" from the Wallet Connector modal, you will receive a popup from [https://keys.coinbase.com](https://keys.coinbase.com/)
* If you don't have a Smart Wallet yet, click "**Create a new wallet**." If you already have one, select "**I already have a wallet**."

#### **4. Passkey Authentication**

* Follow the on-screen instructions to configure passkey authentication for your new Smart Wallet on your device.&#x20;
* Once this is done, your Smart Wallet will be created and ready to use on Moonwell.

#### **5. Returning to Moonwell**

* Once your Smart Wallet is created, click "**Return to app**" to go back to Moonwell.

#### **6. Using Moonwell with Smart Wallet**

* You can now use your new Smart Wallet to access all of Moonwell's features, including lending, borrowing and staking.
* To view and manage assets on your Smart Wallet, visit [homebase.coinbase.com](https://homebase.coinbase.com/)
